Film Fallout Podcast #164 - Rocket to Midsommar

Published: July 8, 2019, 7:36 a.m.

Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan take another trip through Ari Aster's form of hell with his sophomore feature, Midsommar. While the obvious comparisons to Hereditary are made, the guys discuss the effectiveness of scares in daylight as well as Aster's directorial flourishes showing themselves, for better or worse. Along with the brightest folk horror film in quite some time, Chris watched the Elton John biopic, Rocketman, and they both talk about the Paul Thomas Anderson/Thom Yorke collaboration, Anima. You can find Film Fallout every week on iTunes, Soundcloud, Facebook, and Instagram, as well as anything else that pulls an RSS Feed.
