Film Fallout Podcast #144 - The Academy Falls Short of the Glass Ceiling

Published: Jan. 23, 2019, 10:14 p.m.

This week, Dylan Schwan and Christopher Cross capped off their M. Night Shyamalan marathon with a viewing of his trilogy ender, Glass. Do they find the negative critical reception to be justified? Does it successfully conclude both Unbreakable and Split in a satisfying manner? How much of this movie was Bruce Willis really in? Listen in to find out! In between the end of the year and Shyamalan's new film, they caught up with the new season of True Detective while Dylan caught the first two episodes of Trigger Warning with Killer Mike. Chris informed Dylan on his viewing of the Netflix documentary, Fyre, and also wondered why Canadians can't get the Hulu documentary on the same subject (it's because we don't have Hulu). They also get into the (abysmal) 2019 Academy Award nominations. It's been a long time since Joe Cornish graced our screens with his first directorial effort, Attack the Block. Make sure to tune in next week when we talk about his long awaited sophomore release, The Kid Who Would Be King.
