Film Fallout Podcast #105 - Blockers Are Never Really Quiet

Published: April 11, 2018, 9:29 p.m.

Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan have returned this week to cockblock you. Along with John Cena, Leslie Mann, and Ike Barinholtz, the new comedy, Blockers, from Kay Cannon is here and ready to tell you why sex is bad. Or is it? Give a listen to how we felt about a movie that had some really bad trailers and sounded like your standard studio comedy with a few gross-out laughs. Blockers was produced by Seth Rogen’s Point Grey production studio but he also released a new Netflix special called Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity which we watched and discuss the highs and lows. Then Chris saw John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place and Dylan saw Lynne Ramsay’s You Were Never Really Here so we’ve got plenty of great films to converse about. We’ve also got an update on Dwayne Johnson’s standing with the Fast and Furious franchise as well as with Vin Diesel, and we chat very intensely about a possible Westworld season 2 spoiler video that might intentionally be released before the new season (the next day it turned out it was a joke, so it looks like Jonathan Nolan had us convinced). Next week we will be back with a review of Rampage starring Dwayne Johnson. You can find Film Fallout every week on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as anything else that pulls an RSS Feed. Feel free to share the podcast with your friends if you enjoy it, and rate and subscribe on iTunes to help spread the word as much as possible!
