Ben Schettler (President + Founder, The Center for Truth in Love) - Leviticus 15:13; 17:11; Psalm 8:8; Job 26:7; 38:35; Isaiah 40:22; Genesis 6:15; Joshua 1:1-9; 6:20 & 24; 2 Timothy 3:16   It is unwise to tell someone to “trust” the Bible without demonstrating “why” the Bible is trustworthy. Ben Schettler will examine the process of the writing and preservation of scripture while giving fascinating examples of fulfilled prophecy, archaeological findings, scientific discoveries, and changed lives. From the death of George Washington to ocean currents, we will interact with powerful evidence that confirms the Bible is a miraculous book written by God.   Is the Bible Reliable?   Two important questions: I. Do we have the Bible? II. Did God write the Bible? A. Characteristics of a book written by God B. The Bible claims it C. Science agrees with it D. George Washington E. Matthew Maury   More scientific evidence: 1. The Earth free floats in space 2. Washing hands under running water 3. The circle of the Earth 4. The recognition that light waves and radio waves can be sent and can manifest themselves in speech 5. The dimensions of ships   History and time reveal it: A. The Bible can be fact-checked B. Examples of the evidence [Walls of Jericho] 1. The ancient Wall of Jericho exists 2. The wall of Jericho fell 3. The wall fell in an unexplainably unique way 4. Grain was found burnt in the city 5. Not all of the wall fell   Illustration #1: George Washington   Illustration #2: "Paths of the Sea" (Matthew Maury)   Illustration #3: Matthew Maury
