New bill aims to secure digital identities

Our next guest hopes the U.S. can pull off the digital equivalent of that in much less time. Congressman Bill Foster, an Illinois Democrat, is the chief sponsor of the Improving Digital Identity Act. The bipartisan measure is the first step in what its backers hope will eventually be a nationwide system of cyber-secure online credentials \\u2013 and may eventually get rid of usernames and passwords for good.
