Retired agent Richard \\u201cDick\\u201d Marquise reviews the Pan Am Flight 103 case, where the airplane was blown out of the skies over Lockerbie, Scotland on December 21, 1988, four days before Christmas. Two hundred and seventy people were killed. Marquise was involved with the investigation from its inception and, after being named to lead the U.S. Task Force which included the FBI, Department of Justice and the Central Intelligence Agency, he managed the investigation through the return of indictments in 1991. He also played an active role through the court proceedings and in August 2001, with the successful resolution of the trial, he received the Attorney General\\u2019s Award for Distinguished Service. The case code name was Scotbom. Marquise wrote\\xa0Scotbom: Evidence and the Lockerbie Investigation, a non-fiction account of the international terrorism case.
