Shaun Toub is a world renound actor. You have seen him the Iron Man franchise, Blood & Oil, The Kite Runner, Snowpiercer, Maryam and The Sopranos just to name a few. Toub is now part of an ensemble cast for the Israeli series Tehran, which beings streaming on Apple TV+ on Friday, September 25, 2020.

The series is created by Dana Eden, Moshe Zonder, Moar Khon and Omri Shenhar. A couple of those creators were responsible for another hit Israeli series Fouda that streams on a different plantform.

I able to speak with Toub about his experience with being cast as Faraz, the Iranian security member in the Tehran airport, what it meant for him as a Mizrahi Jew to be apart of series that had personal implications for his life and how the series debuted in the United States as we approach the 40th anniversary of the Iranian Revolution.
