Karan Soni Talks About 'Other Space'

Karan Soni (Deadpool, Miracle Workers) was early in his career when he filmed the Paul Feig series, Other Space. Originally launched on the now defunct Yahoo! Screen streaming platform, the series that premiered in 2015 has found a new home on Dust. 

The series follows the misadventures of a team young and inexperienced crew in the year 2105 as they face obstacles of space exploration. Think The Orville before the series was ever conceived. 

Soni plays Captain Stewart Lipinski, an overly kind pushover who lacks confidence in his abilities while his first-mate sister, Karen (Bess Rous) along with his unrequited love for Tina (Milana Vayntrub) and of course a lovable robot as well as a misfit crew, this a Galaxy Quest level of hilarity in a half-hour sitcom.

We caught up with Karan about what its like revisiting this series five years late, how we miss being at Comic-Con and the hopes for a season two on Dust.

Other Space begins exclusively streaming on August 1, 2020.
