Art definitely imitates life sometimes and no one experiences that better than Joy Osmanski, but who would have thought it would have been in an animated format? Osmanski voices Jing, the hilariously adorable adopted East Asian daughter to a Anglo-Saxon family on the Fox animated series Duncanville. Coincidentally, Osmanski is the adopted East Asian daughter to Slavic family (which we joked about in this interview) and with May being Foster Care and Adoption Month, who better t talk to than a woman who is not only someone who lived the life of an adopted child, but is now a adopted mother. In fact, Osmanski is a mother in three different versions, a step-mother, a biological mother and adoptive mother.

On top of all of this, Osmanski, takes to the small screen playing the DC Entertainment, Bronze Age villainess Tigress, Paula Brooks on the new DC Universe series Stargirl, premiering on Monday, May 18, 2020 and the following night on The CW Network. Fun fact, for those that don't know, Paula Brooks was the original Golden Age The Huntress. That means, we could be seeing some double duty villainy if we get some time travel going on in Stargirl.

We cracked several jokes, talked about family life, dance and how Osmanski, who was born in South Korea faced the difficulties of first being an ethnic kid that doesn't fit into your surroundings, but then growing up and movie to an area where more people look like you, but not being able to understand the cultural reference having never grown up with them in her personal life.

This was one of the most fun interviews I have ever conducted and Osmanski literally lives up to her name, because she was an absolute joy to interview.
