DeDee Pfeiffer Talks Life and About Her Role as Denise in 'Big Sky' Premiering on ABC

DeDee Pfeiffer (Cybill, For Your Love, Wanted) took a near decade long hiatus from her career, returning to college and earning a masters degree in Social Work from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), specializing in mental illness, chemical dependency and homelessness.  Especially now with Covid-19, a large homeless population and a struggling economy, of which, Pfeiffer hopes to connect her education and celebrity to raise awareness and shine a spotlight on those with needs in these areas.

Pfeiffer returns to television in the David E. Kelly series Big Sky, premiering on ABC, Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

Pfeiffer, who is an Orange County, CA native jokes about her displeasure having attended Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach. The true irony is that Ocean View has no ocean or view, but you can see a Home Depot from their parking lot. DeDee and I crack a lot of jokes about having both gone to high school in Huntington Beach, and this profile turned into just two fast friends enjoying the moment, which of course some seriousness peppered in between.

As well as finishing her education, Pfeiffer took time off from acting to be a single mother to two boys, one of which is a Tae Kwon Do black belt and MMA fighter in training.

Along with her previous work in television, Pfeiffer has appeared on CSI:NY, Seinfeld and ER. She has also had memorable roles opposite George Clooney in Red Surf, Michael Douglas in Falling Down, Keanu Reeves in Tune In Tomorrow and many other films.
