Actor David Dastmalchian is the embodiment of turning one's life around. Dastmalchian, who over a decade ago beat a heroine addiction, cleaned himself up and focused on his love of acting and comic books. A chance discovery by Christopher Nolan had the then unknown actor appear in The Dark Knight, from there his career took off like a rocket and Dastmalchian has not looked back.

Now an advocate of mental health and a love of horror has allowed the life-long comic book fan to team up with Dark Horse Comics to bring to life his own creation in, Count Crowley: Reluctant Midnight Monster Hunter. The limited series follows, "Jerri Bartman, a once rising TV journalist who has returned to her small Midwest hometown TV station. Demoted to hosting the nightly Creature Feature, Jerri’s professional humiliation is eclipsed by the discovery that her new job comes with a secret, supernatural duty."

Dastmalchian teamed up with illustrator Lukas Ketner and colorist Lauren Affe to bring to life this creature feature comic. Listen to what Dastmalchian had to say about the new comic series, acting, recovery and some future projects.
