Andre Gower Talks 'Baby Frankenstein'

I called out Andre Gower at the beginning of this interview for being the cause of half my class  driving our third grade teacher nuts when we would scream out, "The Wolfman's Got Nards!" but in reality, he and the entire cast of Monster Squad should be thanked for that, because it helped kids like me enjoy the quirky humor of what is now considered a cult film.

Fast forward a few decades and I finally got to talk to the man that helped my interest in classic horror movies for his latest film, Baby Frankenstein. Although, the title is slightly misleading, the film follows two kids who befriend an android created in the 1950s by Dauvin Lundquist's (Gower) grandfather. Now it is Lundquist who desires to find his grandfather's creation while Lance (Ian Barling)  and Truth (Cora Savage) keep the little guy safe from Lance's mom's reward hungry boyfriend Ken (Patrick McCartney).

We spoke with Gower about Baby Frankenstein, the influence Monster Squad has had on fandom, what Brent Chalem aka Horace would have enjoyed at fan meet-and-greets, the movie going experienc and about the Wolfman's Got Nards! documentary.
