7500 follows co-pilot Tobias Ellis (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and his flight attendant girlfriend, Gökce (Aylin Tezel) who shortly after take off endure a terrorist attack on their flight. Captain Michael (Carlo Kitzlinger) is wounded severely and it is is to Tobias to keep the plane together as things have run a muck.

We spoke with writer and director Patrick Vollrath about the project, working with Gordon-Levitt, who was his ideal choice to play Tobias, how true life events shaped this story and the difficulties of working with such a tight shoot in such a small setting.
