11 - Tree of Life & Death

If you ever took an English lit class, you probably know that trees are kind of a "big deal" in stories. And if you're any kind of nature buff, you know trees are worthy of all the hugs. But what happens when the trees get a little...overboard. This week, Sarah & Megan take a look at the Greek myth of Daphne and Apollo, where the former gets an epic transformation because the latter just won't make like a tree and leave. For our true crime story, we cover Matthew J. Hoffman's very strange house of leaves (not to be confused with the novel).    If you like our podcast, don't forget to rate, review, and subscribe and let all your environmental science classmates know!  If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or shoutouts for your favorite tree, feel free to reach out by emailing us at fairytalltalespod@gmail.com!  You can also get social with us:  Instagram: @fairytalltales Twitter: @fairytalltales Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FairyTallTales www.fairytalltales.com --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/fairy-tall-tales/support
