Former beauty queen and award-winning entrepreneur, Genecia Alluora was born into a poor family. At age 18, not wanting to “keep working by the hour”, she turned to entrepreneurship.

While she’s had her fair share of failures, one of the most memorable being a venture that ended in a six-figure debt, she has seen great success including successfully exiting a cafe retail chain to a public listed company.

Now founder of Soul Rich Woman, South East Asia’s leading network for female entrepreneurs, Genecia joins me in this episode to share the lessons she has learned during her entrepreneurial journey. We discuss:

-How Genecia escaped to the "right race”
-How having a mentor helped “shortcut” Genecia’s journey to success
-How to choose a mentor
