On this episode I'm joined by Esperanza Tervalon-Garrett, a Western Pleasure rider determined to become the first Black woman to win an APHA World Championship.
Esperanza shares with us how she found horses and grew up riding in a community of Black cowboys and other equestrians of color, how she found her way back to riding, discovered Western Pleasure, and the goals she has to impact the sport and create space for other riders along the way. Esperanza will inspire to you believe in yourself, your big dreams, and to own who you are and the space you take up on this earth, in life and within the context of horses.
