In the third episode of the European Pavilion Podcast, we invite Australian scientist Tim Flannery to discuss what natural history can teach us about Europe, and what prospects it opens up, including from the perspective of politics. How can we understand public space in relation to nature? How can we envisage a sustainable future for Europe, based on a cultural understanding of our place in the world and our responsibility as part of a global ecosystem?

Tim Flannery is a scientist, explorer, and conservationist who served as Australia’s Climate Commissioner from 2001 to 2013. He has published numerous books, including, Europe: A Natural History.
