There are bits of this film that do really bring some new life to the franchise, however it is certainly too late and the sheer amount of missteps outweigh any possible good that could have come from this franchise. Was this film the straw that broke the camel's back for Horror Remakes? Yes. Do we hold that against this film. No Comment. Is it Essential?!
