Kicking off our hillbilly horror month, there was none other we could begin with besides for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974).  This movie is well known to horror and non-horror fans alike as an absolute classic. This macabre movie is simultaneously beautiful in its own grotesque way.  However, does this movie live up to its own hype?  Does it leave too much up to your imagination?  Most importantly though, is it essential?
