M. Shannon Hernandez, author of Breaking the Silence: My Final Forty Days as a Public School Teacher , left teaching after 15 years, wrote a memoir and started a business all at the same time. Today, she has a successful business for writers called The Writing Whisperer , where she does coaching for writers, speaking and business consulting.
