Nobel prize winning economist William Nordhaus has come under sustained attack from the environmental left because the integrated model he developed to consider the economic and environmental impacts of climate change and policies proposed to prevent it doesn't endorse radical restrictions on fossil fuels. Nordhaus' model indicates policies like the Green New Deal, endorsed by the Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris, will impose huge costs on the economy while preventing little if any future temperature increase.
