Congress Promotes Political Science and Cronyism Over Real Science (Guest: John Droz)

The House has passed a 900-page energy bill and the Senate is considering a 600-page bill that would throw billions of dollars at pork barrel projects. No one in Congress has read these bills in their entirety, as usual, and much is written by special interest groups. Each bill would, for the first time ever, establish a national mandate for wind and solar power production by 2025, and for the first time ever, regulate a non-toxic chemical supposedly based on the unproven fact it contributes to climate change. Both provisions set dangerous precedents and are based on political science not science itself.
