This week\\u2019s episode is a sort-of little brother to last week\\u2019s episode - we talk about the little brother to the Restaurant, the Caf\\xe9!

  • We had a big argument about the origin of nicknames for Chicago! All said and done, it turns out the origin of the nickname Windy City is highly disputed. It has nothing to do with the fire, as Kathryn falsely remembered. However, what she was remembering is the idea that the nickname referred to the full-of-hot-air politicians of historic Chicago. End of the day though, there are a bunch of possible origins.
  • The Second City nickname is a slam from New Yorker columnist A. J. Liebling who found himself in Chicago for a couple years and decided he hated the place and missed New York. It\\u2019s also worth noting he was having some personal life troubles, so maybe he was in a bad mood\\u2026
