In this episode, I’m speaking with Acupuncturist, Margo Voskanian. Margo graduated college with a bachelor’s degree in biology and worked in the pharmaceutical industry before pursuing her career as an acupuncturist. She completed a rigorous graduate program in Chinese Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine and earned a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) degree from the New England School of Acupuncture.

After struggling with gynecological and digestive issues and experiencing back pain, she decided to give acupuncture a try despite her fear of needles. She was so impressed by how the acupuncturist analyzed her past to figure out the root cause of her pain. After that, she was hooked and knew she wanted to pursue this field as a career.

Margo has found great resources to rebalance and resync her own health through Chinese Herbal Medicine, cupping therapy, and dietary adjustments. Both as an undergraduate and graduate student, she took courses on nutrition which helped her to develop a strong understanding of how food impacts our bodies. Her specialties as a practitioner include pain management, women’s health, and digestive health.
