Welcome to my podcast. Eco-Activist Journey is a weekly radio show on St Andrews Radio discussing sustainability and climate activism. On Friday the 21st of February 2020 Dr Daphne Biliouri-Grant joined me on- air for a discussion on corporate sustainability and creating change. Daphne is a corporate governance and sustainability advisor currently engaging with several initiatives nationally and internationally to promote sustainable solutions and implement a strong sustainability strategy according to the UN SDGs. She was the co-founder and Director of Due Diligence and Advisory Services for a risk management consultancy advising international corporate clients and Development Financial Institutions on the political, environmental and reputational risks associated with their activities. Daphne is also a University of St Andrews alumni, the founder of the "Towards a Plastic-free St Andrews" campaign and has been instrumental in shaping conversations on collaboration for sustainability and initiatives of sustainable fashion in St Andrews. We had an inspiring discussion on the role corporations play in governmental policy and why they are one of the - if not THE- most important actors to ensure a sustainable future.
