I know that I need to advocate for my recent struggle and want to get my words across, but I feel that this is the best way to do it.
\nBeing autistic, I take things at face value and am a concrete thinker.
\nWhen told that your life could end, it is without a doubt quite the scare.
\nThanlfully, after further tests, the scare became nothing than just a internal error and I have been medically cleared.
\nHowever, as an advocate, I feel there needs to be change in notifying those that work in ALL systems of the barriers individuals such as myself have when communicating sensitive information in a way that is more dignified, sensitve to my needs and does not result in the challenges and scare that I have had over the past 48 hours.
\nAs advocates, we must do better in finding ways to communicate to those in ALL systems that perform any kind of care to us our challenges and ways to best address situations.
\nWe must do better.
