I guess what they say is true- everyone is nicer in Texas! Welcome Anna, owner of the Jefferson General Store in Jefferson, Texas and Raven also from Jefferson, Texas and number 1 super employee. We talked for 35 minutes about the awesome General Store, the history of the store and the building which dates back to the 1860s. We talk about the history of Jefferson, Texas which used to be a river port for transporting goods between here and New Orleans. We talk Texas and the state of the union and more. Anna and Raven and the entire crew at the store really took great care of me. They were all so kind and generous and really made my day. Jefferson is a really really cool and thriving little town in what seems like nowhere Texas and the people have all welcomed me openly. The lady at the chamber of commerce when I was looking for a bathroom, the mechanic whose pitbull scared the shit out of me when it ran up on me while I was out running, the bartender from Watertown, SD who I met next door to the General Store. Shoutout Jefferson, TEXAS!!!
