Episode 31 - Playing Just The Tip

Published: July 25, 2018, 8 a.m.

Humpday is upon us, we’re halfway through the week and the Dudes are back with a packed show.  We try to push you out of your comfort zone, playing just the tip, just for a second to see how it feels.

Nick triggers Rob by introducing a teaser clip of Disney’s next live-action adaptation film, “Christopher Robin.”  Rob is not amused, but the movie stars Hayley Atwell from “Agent Carter” and Marvel Cinematic Universe fame, so that makes him happy.  Otherwise, Rob Rotten is not a Disney fan, saying they’re unoriginal and prefer to buy out their competition.  We then revisit what will surely be a great movie, “The Happytime Murders.”  The movie featuring muppet-like characters showing what life is like after Sesame Street.

Dudes From Dallas PSA: A Japanese man died after his friend blew air up his anus using an air compressor in a ‘prank’ gone wrong.  So don’t use air compressors in any type of prank.  Asia Times suggests that the frequency of such ‘accidental’ incidents in Japan may have something to do with the childhood practice of ‘kancho’ – where children poke each others’ butts as a prank.

A statue of late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell is to be erected in his hometown of Seattle.  The Dudes take a look at the idea of erecting a statue dedicated to a person who committed suicide.  The hope is that it brings awareness to mental health and suicide, and doesn’t just lift the person up based solely on their contributions to the arts.

Bill Clinton says every US state should return to 'some sort of paper ballot system' to stop elections from being hacked.  Nick Vicious is on board, while Rob Rotten thinks Bill Clinton is merely out petitioning for the paper ballot to ensure a Hillary victory in 2020.  They break it down as only they can.
