It’s amazing isn’t it, with your imagination you can go places without moving a muscle. You can replay past memories, dream about what you’d like to be doing vocationally in 10 years, maintain a spirit of stability during turbulent times because you can imagine what life will be like beyond the challenge, what an awesome gift from God, the gift of imagination.
But, as you might suspect, there’s also a shadow side, because just as easily as we can transport ourselves into wonderful, constructive, healthy scenarios, we can also transport ourselves into unhealthy, self-destructive scenarios. And nowhere does this power come into sharper focus than when we link our powers to imagine with the highly flammable nature of our own human sexuality.
