The FDA and El Abuelito Cheese now recall all Quesco Fresco products with sell dates through 3/28/21 due to the possibility that they are contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.  This micro-organism may cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in the very young, elders, or in the immunocompromised.  It may cause miscarriages and stillbirths.  El Abuelito products were sold in CT, NJ, PA, NY; Rio Grande Food Products sold  in VA, NC, MD; and Rio Lindo products sold in in NC and MD. If you bought any of these products, don’t consume them but return them to the place of purchase for a refund.  Call El Abuelito at 1-973-345-3503 with questions.
