b'Don went to Anglesey for a few days this week\\u2026it was windy and cold\\u2026but he got a few good walks in\\u2026one of which incorporated walking the length of the beach at Rhosneigr\\u2026and he never saw a soul for the whole two miles \\u2026 most unusual\\u2026and he made the mistake of getting some diesel while he was in Llanfair PG\\u2026.\\xa31.50 a litre !!!!....\\xa31.35 everywhere else\\u2026lesson learnt\\u2026.and Sainsburys give you 12p off a litre when you spend 60 quid in their store\\u2026..so they CAN do it\\u2026hmmm\\u2026.and the petrol bods tell us they are not making a profit.\\n \\nThe guy who created a \\u201cbomb finder\\u201d and sold it to the middle Eastern countries has been on the news\\u2026.he made 50 million pounds\\u2026and the thing was a fake\\u2026.and they are still using it at checkpoints in various countries\\u2026.what I find hard to understand is why NO-ONE checked it out first??...this guy must be some salesman\\u2026he has a huge house in Bath with a built in Roman swimming pool etc etc\\u2026.the device is like a car aerial on a plastic box and is of no use whatsoever\\u2026very very strange\\u2026I\\u2019ve heard of selling sand to the Arabs but this is ridiculous.\\n \\nThere is a new idea which has emerged\\u2026designed to cut crime\\u2026.it\\u2019s a picture of a pair of eyes which is placed near bike sheds etc\\u2026which supposedly puts thieves off because \\u201cthey are being watched\\u201d\\u2026apparently this has worked\\u2026however now it has been broadcast all over the TV the would be thieves who probably thought there was a camera now know there isn\\u2019t\\u2026so we\\u2019ll see how this transpires\\u2026yep I sometimes wonder what these people are on.\\n \\nGuess what\\u2026this country is becoming one of the most \\u201cpeaceful\\u201d in Europe\\u2026..the Norfolk Broads now has little or no crime and is the most peaceful part of the country according to \\u201cresearch\\u201d\\u2026however some of the towns around the east end of London are the least peaceful\\u2026but once they have sorted out the gang culture we will all live in harmony\\u2026.unlike New York,Amsterdam\\u2026etc\\u2026.I don\\u2019t know who comes up with this rubbish but I\\u2019ll bet they are on a good salary.\\n \\nOn the showbiz front I was well impressed with Petula Clarke who is about to embark on a tour to promote her latest album\\u2026which is very good (the bits of it I have heard)\\u2026she was on morning tele and she looks fabulous\\u2026considering she\\u2019s 80 !!!...there\\u2019s hope for us all\\u2026.and the latest thing for old rockers is to do the cruises where they have a free holiday and get paid\\u2026a couple of members of Genesis were on the tele talking about their plans to do just this\\u2026\\u2026.I did a couple of gigs a while back with Bobby Vee and he asked me if I did the cruises and I told him I didn\\u2019t and never really fancied it\\u2026about a month later I was looking on the internet and saw \\u201cCarribean Cruises featuring The Bobby Vee Show\\u201d\\u2026.DOH !!....you can\\u2019t win \\u2018em all.'
