b'..and to the 7th track on my album\\u2026\\u201dTribute to Ricky Nelson\\u201d\\u2026.I\\u2019ve always been a huge fan of the guy..preferred him to Elvis in the 50\\u2019s\\u2026so I thought he deserved a place on my CD\\u2026.it tells of how his love songs brought us all through the dark times after just being chucked by the love of your life\\u2026sit in a dark room with your Dansette and put on \\u201cLonesome Town\\u201d\\u2026problem solved.\\n \\nthe weather here has been very hot\\u2026great for sailing and all outdoor activities\\u2026EXCEPT for the poor pensioners\\u2026.this country has to be top of the charts for moaners\\u2026a few weeks back it was too cold and the poor pensioners needed looking after (The one\\u2019s who aren\\u2019t cruising round the Medi that is)\\u2026now they are too HOT and need looking after\\u2026in case they de-hydrate\\u2026next thing will be the droughts\\u2026what does it take to make some people happy\\u2026beats me.\\n \\n..The Open Golf Tournament is upon us\\u2026..and Hoylake is buzzing\\u2026I decided to go out in my kayak on Thursday and row on the Dee alongside the Royal Liverpool in the hope of getting on the tele\\u2026.but to no avail\\u2026it\\u2019s the only way I\\u2019ll ever appear at the Open\\u2026.I don\\u2019t quite get the attraction of watching live golf when it is so much better on the tele\\u2026anyway it looks like being a big success.\\nHave you been watching?...some great shots of Hoylake from the air\\u2026.but I wish they would stop calling it THE Wirral\\u2026..it\\u2019s WIRRAL!!\\n \\n.We went over to Liverpool in the week to buy some electrical stuff from Maplins\\u2026the service was superb and the guy who served us was a scream\\u2026amongst the stuff we bought an extending window scraper for a fiver\\u2026as it was so long they offered to deliver it FREE\\u2026it arrived NEXT DAY\\u2026I have written to Maplins and thanked them for great service which I didn\\u2019t think existed anymore.\\n \\n.On a similar subject we went to Wetherspoons in Caernarvon and had two delicious mixed grills\\u2026AND a bottle of quality wine\\u2026all for 15 quid\\u2026.it\\u2019s hard to believe the value of the place\\u2026and it\\u2019s less than two quid a pint!!!....I\\u2019m a fussy eater but I can\\u2019t fault Wetherspoons\\u2026this is the reason they are always full and all the other places are empty\\u2026.wonderful.'
