b'Derby County Football Club are handing out free \\u201cE\\u201d cigarettes to their fans - designed to prevent youngsters starting to smoke\\u2026.I\\u2019m not quite sure how they work this one out\\u2026.I don\\u2019t know much about these electronic ciggies but I do know they are expensive and they contain nicotine\\u2026seem a strange exercise to me.\\n \\nSad to hear of the recent death of the Disc Jockey/Broadcaster, David Jacobs\\u2026.he\\u2019s been around virtually all my life\\u2026I remember him in \\u201cJourney Into Space\\u201d on the wireless in the early 50\\u2019\\u2026..half seven to eight\\u2026Monday nights\\u2026I could stay up for that one\\u2026.then there was Juke Box Jury etc\\u2026..we are all getting old.\\n \\n\\u201dKilroy was here\\u201d was an expression which was written everywhere during the war\\u2026.I read an article on who he actually was\\u2026.his name was James Kilroy from Massachusetts and apparently he worked in an aircraft factory and checked that the correct amount of bolts were put in place\\u2026he would do this by initialling the job\\u2026but the workers used to rub out the initials and get them checked again by someone else\\u2026thus doubling their wages\\u2026so Kilroy started adding in big block letters \\u201cKILROY WAS HERE\\u201d\\u2026.this became a phrase which caught on and was used by American soldiers who would write it in all the places their battles took them\\u2026good stuff eh?\\n \\nThe Savile Saga marches on\\u2026Dave Lee Travis\\u2026Rolph Harris and some bloke off Coronation Street\\u2026\\u2026.all tried and convicted by the press\\u2026.without any proof of course\\u2026.to show how wonderful our legal system is they have just found a bloke who murdered a girl 13 years ago by matching his DNA\\u2026.that is after the guy who was originally accused served 6 years\\u2026.it really does need sorting.\\n \\nBlackpool have switched on the famous lights\\u2026.inviting famous celebs to be involved\\u2026and lost a packet. Firstly, The Script were supposed to be headlining but dropped out because of a family problem\\u2026so Gary Barlowe stepped in\\u2026and to give him his due he wanted his fee to be paid to Children in Need\\u2026also included was Eliza Doolittle and buffoon Jonathon Ross who had the honour of switching on the lights \\u2026\\u2026however it was decided to charge 10 quid to see this\\u2026\\u2026.there were not many takers\\u2026.total cost 500 grand\\u2026total income 300 grand\\u2026OOPS\\u2026..lesson learnt I think.'
