b'.The song this week is a live version of Ricky Nelson\\u2019s Travellin\\u2019 Man which was recorded a few years back when I was in concert with James Burton\\u2026the guy who played on Ricky\\u2019s records\\u2026he is over here again and I\\u2019ll be working with him again this weekend\\u2026I\\u2019ll be singing 14 Ricky Nelson songs\\u2026.I\\u2019ll also be interviewing him before the show\\u2026all good stuff.\\nWe have had a run through the stuff with him and it\\u2019s sounding good\\u2026.got a great backing band who I\\u2019ve worked with before.\\n \\nEvery Wednesday night we have a jam session which raises money for sick kids\\u2026it\\u2019s called The Cheshire Cats and ever so often we have a guest band\\u2026this week we had a Viking invasion\\u2026we had a band from Denmark called Chimbo\\u2019s Revival (look them up on the net)\\u2026and they were great\\u2026.the singer even had a Bill Haley kiss curl\\u2026.they had the place rockin\\u2019\\u2026.the selection of songs was spot on.\\n \\nOn the sport scene there was big excitement over our ladies getting to the semi final of the World Cup\\u2026.then in true English fashion we blew it in the dying minutes\\u2026DOH!!\\nAnd the tennis is in full flight at Wimbledon\\u2026.with all hopes pinned on Andy Murray\\u2026.who is BRITISH when at Wimbledon\\u2026.but I think he\\u2019ll have to go some to beat Jockovic\\u2026.I played tennis at club level for many years so I know how good these players are and I enjoy watching it all\\u2026what I don\\u2019t need is John McEnroe rambling on\\u2026.putting his own pronunciations to various names\\u2026e.g.JOEkavic\\u2026I find it irritating\\u2026let\\u2019s just watch the game eh.\\n \\nThese French strikes a re a disgrace\\u2026..there should be a law forbidding this sort of behaviour\\u2026.they are holding people who are not involved to ransome\\u2026.they may have their reasons but to disrupt thousands of lives is sickening\\u2026and they do it every year\\u2026..they disrupt road traffic,ships and flights \\u2026 and at a time when there has been loss of life\\u2026they should be ashamed \\u2026 and all given life sentences\\u2026it\\u2019s a shame we have to travel over their country otherwise I say bankrupt the lot of them.\\n \\n5.The BBC is commenting on the drop in people paying for TV licenses\\u2026.apparently folk are watching stuff on their iPhones and IPlayers\\u2026..perhaps if the Boring Broadcasting Company gave us watchable programmes things would be different \\u2026 television in this country has hit an all time low\\u2026you might as well stare out of the window. What is needed is proper professional staff who KNOW what entertainment is\\u2026.I think the majority of the workforce have just left school\\u2026..I waved a fond farewell to comedy years ago.'
