b'The song this week is a track I put together for a Cheshire Cats album back in the day\\u2026.\\u201dRoute 66\\u201d \\u2026which unfortunately I didn\\u2019t write but I came across it in a drawer\\u2026.it is performed by a band we put together for our weekly jam sessions\\u2026.it was a three piece me on guit\\u2026my lad Steve on bass and vocals\\u2026and a young fellow called Andy Thory on drums\\u2026Steve plays a mean bass \\u2026he was a good player and was great to work with\\u2026even though he\\u2019s the fruit of my loins\\u2026..he had his own band called The Black Knights\\u2026.we sold the album for charity and was very popular at the time\\u2026.happy days.\\n\\n \\n\\n2.Last Wednesday was \\u201cBack To The Future Day\\u201d because in the film trilogy they travel to 21st October 2015\\u2026..I remember thinking at the time that on that day I will have been married 43 years\\u2026and here we are.\\n\\nThe films were absolutely brilliant and dare I say it\\u2026ahead of their time\\u2026.I have the box set and watch it all from time to time \\u2026 it really is a classic\\u2026.and it is very interesting how accurate some of the predictions were\\u2026.great stuff.\\n\\n \\n\\n3.We have yet to hear of the plight of the chap in Saudi Arabia who was jailed for making beer\\u2026he was due to receive 200 lashes last I heard\\u2026.I know that the laws of countries have to be obeyed but this is going a bit over the top\\u2026.these places seem to be living in the dark ages\\u2026.also there was a girl on \\u201cThe Apprentice\\u201d who said she was a sort of pole dancer in Saudi\\u2026.now they want her deported\\u2026.it is ridiculous\\u2026.but they have the oil !!!....what we need to do is find our own sources of energy and backheel the lot of them.\\n\\n \\n\\n4.There has been a lot of coverage on the news about the bobby who got hit by a stolen van\\u2026.and sadly died\\u2026.this happened just down the road from where I live.\\n\\nThe driver and his accomplice had burgled an estate agent and the police were giving chase\\u2026the bobby threw a tyre stinger on to the road and the van swerved and hit him\\u2026needless to say the local community were devastated\\u2026he was only a young chap with a family\\u2026..the burglars have been caught and are awaiting trial\\u2026.I have said it for years that there isn\\u2019t enough deterrent\\u2026they should get life sentences\\u2026.but they wont.\\n\\n \\n\\n5.Last week we mentioned the sad passing of Kenny Johnson of The Hillsiders country band\\u2026.Billy Butler did a fabulous tribute to him on his programme\\u2026.he played an interview he had done with Kenny and played short exerpts from his many recordings\\u2026.what a great singer he was\\u2026.and he has played on the Grand Old Opry in the states along with many big names\\u2026.I feel Kenny was a true legend who sort of slipped under the radar.\\n\\nAnd Tom Jones has been on talking about his book\\u2026.I bet that\\u2019s a good read\\u2026.AND he is still with his wife who he married at 16\\u2026..Rock on Tommy !!!...\\n\\n\\u2026.and finally the nanny state strikes again\\u2026.there is a suggestion that a tax should be put on sugar\\u2026because we are all obese\\u2026.Jamie Oliver being one of the leading lights\\u2026the fact that it is assumed that people need help to not eat sugar is pathetic\\u2026.I\\u2019m not quite sure who these consumer protectors think they are.'
