Leo spent more than 21 years behind bars. While on the inside he had two lives. The life of being that dog in the yard dealing with of riots and drugs and his other life of becoming dedicated to getting an education. Leo received his G.E.D., college Associates degree, Bachelors degree in Behavioral Sciences, a Masters and is now a Phd candidate. he went from cracking heads to cracking the books and now is a professor art Mercy College and has been one of the leading advocates in New York state for developing programs and counseling that assist in inmates in dealing with the trauma that goes with doing time. Leo believes learning to deal with the the stress and trauma of being locked up for long periods of time in is essential for anyone to rehabilitate back into society. Without a clear mind and an understanding of who you are, you will fall back into the same trap that got you locked up in the first place.
