It’s time we got around to our next installment in our ongoing MOVIE ROULETTE REVIEW series. Angela picks a movie category from a hat. Each category has a list of movies and we randomly select a number from those categories and thus fall upon what we will be reviewing next. Last time Angela selected “Exsanguinators” and fell upon one of her favorite movies of all time and it set a high bar for vampirism in modern film. Of course, we’re discussing Tomas Alfredson’s swedish coming of age romance horror “Let the Right One In” from John Lindqvist’s novel of the same name (translated I mean). We saw this in the theaters when it premiered in the US and gladly revisit it and cnote some important details we overlooked on first viewing. The story of Oskar and Eli runs deep and this story resonated so much that there is a US remake and a television show that has come out since. How are they gonna deal with those kids aging so quickly if that show goes more than two seasons? We don’t plan to watch it, honestly. What Tomas Alfredson gave us feels like the perfect amount. You won’t believe the next category Angela draws from a hat.
