This creep-train just keeps on creepin'. This week's CREEPTOBER edition documentary is one that hosts Ginger and Bob have discussed personally many times over bags of Halloween candy. The early days of Norwegian Black Metal and all of its elitist, corpse-painted, glory is covered in Aaron Aites and Audrey Ewell's "Until the Light Takes Us". In eighties and nineties Norway some dudes who took themselves way too seriously put on some black and white face-paint and played metal into some tin cans. Then churches started burning. Then people got murdered. One dude even murdered himself. A complicated and often problematic scene that was both very creative and very stupid. It's the metal your hometown pastor warned you about. Though your pastor probably couldn't tell you the difference between "Darkthrone" and "Papa Roach". I guess even a broken clock is right twice a day. Keep on Doccin'®
