Welcome to Dissecting This Fiction! Its episode 24, so come join along as my Co-hosts Jessica and Steven go over the latest in movies, tv shows, and games.

A quick message from DTF...

We appreciate everyone that spends a few hours each week listening to our podcast. It's still a young show, but we hope to grow it along with our listeners. Lately, the world has been thrown a curve ball as of late and we hope everybody stays safe and helps each other through this Pandemic. Remember to wash your hands, don't touch your face, and self-quarantine, especially if you have loved ones in an older age group. It's going to be a difficult and challenging time for us all, but we can all work together to get through this together. Don't forget to call others once in awhile, it can help people from feeling isolated. Lastly,  thank the people who have essential jobs for society to function. They don't get to stay at home and help prevent exposure so they will need to rely on all of us to help them stay safe.

What's On The Exam Table?

In gaming, E3 got cancelled...GASP! PS5 will get a "Deep Dive" stream later this week. Rocksteady was allegedly going to show off the infamous Batman game surrounded by mystery and a Harry Potter RPG!? What kind of Muggle talk is this? The Witcher will get a spinoff game after Cyberpunk 2077 and finally, we played some Telltale games in our early quarantine hours. Hope you like The Walking Dead and Batman!

In TV, basically every show in production gets shelved. The Boys season 2 highlights its new rival to Homelander. Queer Eye heads to Texas, probably not anytime soon though... see above news. Stephen Amell doubles down on leaving Arrow. Not so much directly television related, but some big companies try to help lessen the burden on society during our times in isolation. Finally, we binged a lot of crime and medical documentary content. Oh and The Walking Dead Season 9...yeah we were pretty behind.

In movies, not a whole lot with the fact that theaters have shut down, but some companies like Disney and Universal are releasing new movies in VoD format for people as an alternative to theater. Will Black WIdow be one of them come May!? Probably not, but that would be pretty damn cool.  Spider-man 3 is set to film in July...good luck with that. Roberto Orci reportedly set to write a mystery character script for the Sony universe...it's a slow week. Scream gets a reboot and it's happening whether you're ready or not. We end our episode with reviews on Outbreak, Dredd (2012), and Invisible Man (2020).
