DMT 135: The World Creators Summit with SACEM, ASCAP, Peermusic, GRD, BitTorrent

Published: June 8, 2013, 10:25 a.m.

This week Digital Music Trends was in Washington DC recording interviews at the World Creators Summit (organized by CISAC), an event that gathered speakers from around the world discussing author rights, policy & copyright issues keeping the creators firmly in focus. So this week's DMT is a collection of five interviews filmed whilst over there starting with Jean-Nöel Tronc, CEO of SACEM (the French collection society), then I speak to Paul Williams, president of ASCAP and hall-of-fame songwriter (and for those of you who don't know him go check out tracks 7 and 9 of the new Daft Punk album), then Ralph Peer, II CEO of Peermusic, a discussion on the GRD with YouTube and the Danish Songwriters Guild and finally Matt Mason, VP of marketing at BitTorrent.

I really hope you enjoy this week's episode and look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Have a great week and 'till next time.
