Over 20 years ago, an officer witnessed the death of his mother at the hands of his police officer father. As he was the only witness, his testimony helped sentence his father to jail. In the present, the lawyer and former prosecutor as well as the detective and former team member of his father create a special task force where they investigate corruption within the police force and prosecution. Through their current investigations they discovered who they have believed to be the culprit 20 years may not have been correct, that the murderer is still out there and the truth may be closer then they first anticipated.
