Eglantyne Jebb and 100 Years of Save The Children with Clare Mulley

Published: April 25, 2019, 5:02 p.m.

Clare Mulley chats to Dan about Eglantyne Jebb, the founder of Save the Children. Now 100 years old, Save the Children was initially founded in response to the plight of German and Austrian children during the blockade of Germany in the aftermath of World War One. Eglantyne Jebb set out to raise funds to support these children, battling arrest and intense opposition for aiding the 'enemy'. She was ultimately able to turn Save the Children into the force it is today.
