Tom shares on – in the book of Hebrews, chapter 11 and 12 we read about faith, that it is to be sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. We can be sure, because God is who he says he is – His character is flawless and utterly dependable, we can be certain, because we can believe the promises of God, he will do what he says. When we believe that God will fulfil His promises even though we don’t see those promises materialising yet, we demonstrate true faith. In Chapter 11 we are reminded of the great cloud of witnesses that have walked by faith before our time, and for whom their reward was yet to come. We are privileged to run this race alongside such great men and women of faith. Their faith is a constant encouragement. We can be encouraged that we are not the first to struggle with the problems we face. Others have run the race and won, , and their witness stirs us to run and win also. What an inspiring heritage we have!
