We all want the best for our kids. But how we go about this can look very different and have a huge impact on their ability to navigate through the twists and turns and bumps and bruises that life will inevitably bring their way.  That is why I believe it is essential for us to put more energy into preparing our children for the realities of life and a world that is filled with struggles and disappointments, challenges and unpredictability, and less in banging our head against walls or swooping in and trying to bulldoze the road smooth for them.
