In this episode, Ron, Daniel and Brandon discuss regulating one's nervous system and emotions; the difference between emotions, thoughts, beliefs and how they relate to each other; surrender and acceptance; emotional sobriety; creating new habits and the pitfalls and potential problems of that process; as well as taboos surrounding subjects such as sex and pornography. 

We also touch on subjects such as eating disorders as experienced by men and our experiences around emotional sobriety. Brandon also shares a spiritual experience he had at a pivotal point in his life as well as the role ritual plays in his life and how that relationship has changed.

BIO

Brandon Perkins is co-host of the podcast Highchurch, in which he and guests explore healthier, more meaningful and helpful ways to practice what he refers to as True Being. It is a platform upon which he integrates pieces of his journey, and seeks ancient, yet fresh ways to express the spiritual, mystical and experiential. Brandon believes that church can be an ever-present community that we can meet in any space. The “high” in his version of the term high church represents the search to uncover that which is truest in our own innermost being.
