b'On Today\'s Best Of Creative Control, it\'s been twelve years since the release of Guns N\' Roses "Chinese Democracy," one of the most divisive albums of all time, and I revisit my 3 part conversation with Mike Durband and Jeff Urstadt, and combine them into one show, as the fellas are here to discuss the album with me, when they first heard of it, impressions of some early leaks, "exclusive" album releases in big chain electronic or department stores, some of the various collaborators with worked with Axl on this album through the years, and a reviews of tracks 1-5!

Plus we break down and give our thoughts on tracks 6-10, and discuss "Catcher In The Rye" (both the novel and the song,) Brian May vs. Bumblefoot, "TWAT," Slash\'s attempts to play "Chinese Democracy\' solos at live shows, the perplexing additions of "Scraped" and "Riad," plus how Axl\'s concerns and obsessions over trends and keeping GNR "current" may have ultimately made the album sound dated.

And finally we discuss tracks 11-14. including "IRS" and its early leaks, "Madagascar" and its infamous MTV performance plus Axl\'s alleged motivation behind the song, "This I Love" from the 90s til its release, and "Prostitute," plus the current lineup performing live vs. the GNR of the 90s, the future of the band including rumored new releases, and what if the Finck/Buckethead era of the group returned?
