When I started as a new solo private mental health practitioner \u2013 it was drilled into me that I had to be visible on social media. Maybe you\u2019ve heard the same thing. However, what is the opportunity cost here?
\nTo mark the start of the New Year I planned a 3 day digital detox. I was so excited and committed that I wrote up the 7 Step Digital Detox Program. The first step of which is to do some digital decluttering. Just like in real life, it didn't go perfectly....
\nThis is what I journalled on the first day. \u201cIt\u2019s 7.49. I\u2019ve been up for about 60-90 minutes and I already feel like my left arms has been chopped off. I\u2019m missing that thrill, excitement of being online, see what everyone is up to\u201d. But then, as what tends to happen when you allow ourself (maybe even force yourself) to experience some quietness, other insights and clarification happen. "I am more than my productivity".
\nSpecial offer - I am currently gifting the 7 Step Digital Detox Program to you if you kindly leave this podcast a review and/or share the podcast or recommend it to a mental health professional you know. Simple send me a screenshot or tag me and I'll send you the gift code .
