If you have a daughter and want to help strengthen your bond with her, reduce her sense of isolation and help protect her mental health, here are five ways that can help.
\n
\nFlexibility - of ways to communicate, when and where to communicate. Be open to situations that arise.
Time - take the time to be there, to tell them you love them, to look them in the eye when they are coming and going.
\nAcceptance - let go of your expectations and work with what is.
\nCuriosity - cultivate curiosity and wonder. Allow the space to watch them develop and grow.
\nForgiveness - of them and of yourself for what was done and not done. Start each day anew.
