Tall Tales of Wild Ales Rooted in Nature

Published: Dec. 6, 2020, 9:01 a.m.

After years of brewing with the big guys, Paul Arney wanted to do his own thing. And so began his process of wild ales and place-based beers growing alongside his love of nature and travel.

Nothing like we've ever seen before, Paul and his wife, Staci built a brewery on their farm. One that follows historical brewing techniques, utilizes natural ingredients and processes, and stays true to its roots...literally.

Through tales of barrels of beer, working for Deschutes, and traveling the world, Paul's intense love of life is evidenced in all that he does. His wild ales are just that: wild enough to keep you dreaming, yet rooted enough to keep you grounded.

Billing himself as an ancient brewer foraging his own path, Paul teaches us about his unique natural brewing process while reveling us with tales of travels, his time at Deschutes, and brewing in a tree (tall tales, you see). Grab your favorite beverage for this one, because you'll feel as though you're sitting cross-legged on a squishy couch in Paul and Staci's living room, listening to a friend tell his favorite story.
