Batch291: Champagne Hangovers and Forgotten Breweries

Published: Feb. 16, 2022, 8:05 a.m.

Question of the day: Do you have a brewery that you love but sometimes forget about?
The Dream Team is in full effect, as Deb joins the crew to talk about the downside of champagne, not-so-great beer, Dry January beverage sales, and getting too drunk to steal a car.

Greg starts the beer research with Desert! It’s a DDH IIPA from SingleCut Beersmiths. Deb is sipping on Great Divide’s Horchata Yeti, straight from Denver.

The team talks about the highs and lows of getting way too hydrated from champagne. Greg brings up some breweries that he loves, but sometimes doesn’t get to. Flex went to one of his favorite spots to put in some research. Deb has been doing cocktail research with the T-Pain cocktail recipe book; yes it’s a thing.

Our favorite homie Chew Your Beer calls in to leave a voicemail while in a very inebriated state.

Thanks to Scotland for getting a little creepy with this week’s Ludicrous Libation Law.

What are the best pastry stouts of 2022? We’ll tell you.

The UK is driving up low and none alcohol beverage sales; stop it! Diageo will be opening a Guiness Brewery in London, and it won’t be cheap. Rockstar and Pepsi are launching a hemp energy drink; seems a bit conflicting. And a man gets way too drunk to steal a car, and instead befriends some police officers.
